This newsletter is a little different as 2021 continues to be (another) incredibly trying year.
In many of my client sessions, I hear familiar themes and challenges across multiple clients. Burnout. Overwhelm. Facing some big decisions about how to lead. I often think, "Oh, if only my clients could talk with each other about some of these things!"
So, I wanted try something new -- and offer support to help.
This October, I'm starting a leadership circle as a low key but powerful way to connect you with other people navigating uncertainty. We'll meet Friday mornings over Zoom, you can bring coffee, your cat, or arrive just as you are. You'll meet with a small group of other folks navigating similar challenges.
I am even more thrilled to co-host this circle with Frank Marquardt -- a fellow coach and former peer at Facebook. Frank and I worked together for many years and his insight and wisdom were helpful to me many times. So, imagine, coffee with two coaches to end your week.
What is Leading with Heart?
Leaders, especially now, are facing new demands and challenges quite quickly. Change can be exhilarating, but also lonely, tiring, and depleting. As we look ahead, the pace of change won’t stop, we’ll continue to face more new scenarios to navigate.
Leading with heart means developing the ability to bring authenticity and care to your work, producing resilient, inclusive and committed teams — teams capable of creatively navigating dynamic and even unstable internal and external environments.

What are ways to create psychologically safe and high-trust environments when everybody's stressed and worn down?
Resiliency:
What skills can you implement to be more effective and resilient during the world/regional/internal crisis du jour?
Elevated leadership:
How can you improve coordination and reduce miscommunication with your partners, team and your manager?
Building trust:
What is trust on teams? How can we build it, lose it or repair it?
Frank and I bring a combined 20+ years in leadership roles at Facebook, agencies, and startups and extensive training in leadership and leadership coaching. We’ve build and grown teams, managed through challenging circumstances. Now we're your committed guides in creating a moving, actionable and meaningful workshop circle.
